RE: ROYAL CANIN DOG FOOD PROBLEMS….
IF YOUR DOG/CAT IS ON THIS FOOD, DRY OR WET/CAT/DOG….ANY OF THIS BRAND, GET THEM OFF OF IT ASAP; DON’T GIVE ANOTHER BITE. OUR POODLE REFUSED TO EAT A NEW PURCHASE AFTER 2 MEALS OF THE FRESH CAN AND SHE HAS LOVED IT FOR ALMOST 3 YRS. SHE HAD A SEIZURE, SERIOUS GASTRIC ISSUES, WEAKNESS, TRYING TO THROW UP. TOOK HER TO VET FOR TESTING AFTER WHICH I READ “CONSUMER AFFAIRS” INTERNET SITE ABOUT ROYAL CANIN DEATHS. IF I HAD NOT GONE ON LINE TRYING TO FIND ANY INFO THAT MIGHT BE NEW ABOUT ROYAL CANIN, WE WOULD NOT HAVE STOPPED FORCE FEEDING THIS TO HER. SOON AFTER I READ INFO ON THAT SITE, WE GOT A CALL FROM OUR VET WITH TEST RESULTS. EVERYTHING POINTED TO FOOD. WE WERE UP WITH A SICK BABY FOUR NIGHTS BEFORE LEARNING THE ABOVE. CONFERRED WITH VET, GAVE DIFFERENT FOOD WITH ANTIBIOTICS AND PROBIOTICS AND SHE ATE IT. NOW HEALING. HOPING NO LONG-TERM PROBLEMS. WE WERE VERY FORTUNATE IN THAT OTHERS HAVE LOST THEIR PETS. SHE GOT ILL VERY FAST.
IF YOUR PET IS HAVING PROBLEMS….TAKE TO ER OR VET ASAP AND GET TESTED AND STARTED ON TREATMENT TO RECOVER.

well I can only speak for me and my frenchie, but I recently (as in this will be the 3rd week) started giving her the RoyalCanin French Bulldog and she has had NO breakouts. She has severe allergies, and I have tried everything I can think of to help her, from making her food myself; to vet prescribed diets; as well as many foods such as – Arcana, Canidae; Fromm; Taste of the Wild; Blue Buffalo; others as well… she ALWAYS breaks out, itching constantly. Since I began this food with her, voila ! no break outs. So like I said , I can only speak for me and my pup, but she is a happy girl now, and so am I. most of the other “top” rated brands actually made her sick – vomiting/diarrhea, along with the breakouts and hives.
so far so good with this one !!

Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Urinary SO Moderate Calorie Dry Dog Food

Hi. My dog was diagnosed with crystals in her urine and the vet insist I feed her royal canin urinary food, but how does that food actually help? I asked about supplements and he brushed me off. I have been feeding her 4 and 5 star food and now I feel like I am feeding her bad dog food. I am adding cranberries to her diet also. I just don’t want her to have surgery and yes, I am seriously considering another vet who does not brush me off. Any suggestions?First can someone tell me how to post a new question on this site? I can’t seem to find that.
My dog is a labradoodle and he has been throwing up off and on for quite a while. Usually right after he drinks water. The vet has tried various things which have helped such as pepcid and also raising his eating bowls. She recently ask me to try Royal Canin. On another thread I saw several people had said that it appeared to cause liver problems with their dogs.
Does anyone know of any other food that would be good to try for a dog with a sensitive stomach? I have tried Fromm ( lamb and lentil) and that was a bit better but not perfect.
