Hope’s Rescue is a group of people who are dedicated to saving as many dogs as we can from Utah’s shelters. We believe that companion animals are family and that they deserve our stewardship and care. We are an all-volunteer group with 501c3 tax exempt status. Want to get involved? !We’re not there yet, however. In 2016, more than 2,400 dogs and cats were killed in Utah shelters, simply because they didn’t have homes. But by working together, Best Friends–Utah, coalition rescue groups and shelter partners are determined to take that number to zero.A search and rescue team hiked up a steep Utah mountain, trying to rescue a dog that was stuck on a ledge. The rescue wasn't successful, but the owner said it turned out okay when the dog made it safely down the mountain on its own. (Jan. 10)
