I def. suggest at least 60% protein source, rather more, and the rest can be a premix or what I do is I usually cook Quinua, which is a seed, not a typical grain. It is very rare that I add a little tiny bit selective grains but I stay away from it for the most part. I give my dogs also as much raw as possible, though they don’t always eat it, for instance, they don’t like lamb or beef raw, so I have to cook it but they eat raw pork and chicken.
