Petfinder: Celebrating Over 20 Years of Pet Adoption

Every day, people just like you open their hearts and homes to our loving shelter animals. Rescuing or adopting a homeless cat, dog or critter is truly a selfless act that gives a pet the chance to enjoy a happy, fulfilling life.

Thank you to everyone who helped address the problem of homeless dogs by adopting, reclaiming and rescuing dogs from the shelter last month!

We are a group of volunteers whose goal is to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters, as well as owner-surrender dogs who need to be re-homed due to unfortunate circumstances. We are not a shelter, and we have no central location for the dogs we rescue. We pull dogs from various shelters and provide foster homes until they are adopted. In doing so, we hope to provide an alternative to the purchase of puppy mill and pet store dogs, thereby reducing the demand for, and ultimately, the supply of, such dogs. We strive to match each dog with the right family after the dog has been observed in a foster home.

Thank you to everyone who helped address the problem of homeless dogs by adopting, reclaiming and rescuing dogs from the shelter last month! If bringing a street dog or cat home from your next vacation sounds a little too spur of the moment for you, there are many organizations that facilitate the adoption of homeless Mexican animals into the U.S. Here are just a few to check out if you’re considering adoption:

Below is our list of Dogs up for adoption sorted alphabetically

Animal lovers who have traveled to Mexico (and other places in Central America and the Caribbean) on vacation have noticed the many homeless dogs and cats living on the streets of cities and towns of all sizes. If you’ve ever thought about how you can rescue one (or more) of these stray animals and bring them home to the U.S., you’re not alone. Many Americans choose to adopt homeless pets from countries like Mexico.

When we have received your application, we will let you know we are in the process of reviewing it. Once you are approved, we will move forward to step 2. If we have questions and/or concerns we will contact you to obtain further clarification and information.

2) This step involves meeting the rescue dog. If you have a dog of your own, we will may have you schedule a separate meet and greet to allow you to fully focus on meeting your potential new family member and seeing if it is a good match. One of the volunteers will be present to meet you, and assist and answer any questions.

3) This step involves one of our volunteers performing a home visit to check the home for any safety concerns, such as a hole the fence that they would be able to escape, etc.

4) This is the best part! This is where you sign the adoption contract, and take your new family member home to the fur-ever home!We are a non-profit animal rescue organization saving the lives of thousands of homeless and abandoned pets each year. We rescue dogs and cats facing euthanasia in overcrowded shelters, and place them for adoption in loving homes. ALL of our animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
